Costa Cruises
We are the only cruise company to fly the Italian flag and we are part of the Carnival Corporation & plc Group, listed on the London and New York stock exchanges, and world leader in the industry. For 75 years Costa Cruises has embodied Italian style and hospitality.
With 9 ships in service, our headquarters are in Genoa and we operate at global level, mainly on routes in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the Baltic Sea, the Caribbean, North and Central America, South America, the Arab Emirates and the Far East.

Horizons That Know No Bounds
We have always made it our business to introduce our guests to the world’s most beautiful destinations, giving them the chance to explore different countries and discover the different cultures in the five continents with complete respect for their identities.
As the only cruise company flying the Italian flag, it is our responsibility and duty to act as an ambassador for Italian values in the world and to represent our country at our ports of call.
At Costa responsible innovation is a key factor when we design the ships of the future and develop the onboard experience, a process carried out with maximum attention to detail in order to offer a holiday geared towards discovering local cultures and experiencing them as responsible travelers.

A 75-Year Journey
Almost 75 years since our first voyage with the Anna C on 31 March 1948, from Genoa to Buenos Aires, we are still going and still travelling the world’s seas today with the Italian flag proudly flying above our heads. We have lots of stories to tell: one for each of our ships. The Franca C, for example, was the first ship in the world to be built for cruises. The year was 1957. Over time the designs, sizes and decor of the ships have changed, and balconies have been introduced to the majority of cabins; the tastes and requirements of passengers have evolved but our values have remained unchanged, our commitment to our customers.
This is why we have plotted a course that regards innovation and sustainable development as the foundation for our future. For this reason, we strive to minimizse the impact we generate on the destinations we visit with you.

Destination
Mediterranean
History. It's everywhere you turn. Down narrow, cobble-stoned streets, atop rugged mountain cliffs just off the decks of your cruise ship. Escape all the pressures of civilization without missing out on any of its pleasures.

Your days ashore are invitations to adventure, education and the pure pleasure of seeing things you've only read about before. Visit castles, museums and galleries. Explore ancient cities through winding canals. From glorious gardens and gilded theaters to famous boulevards and fabled landmarks, you're in for a picture-perfect experience.
Ports of Call
Palma de Mallorca, Spain
City Palma

The major island in the chain known as the Balearics, Mallorca is Spain's sunny outpost in the Mediterranean. The town of Palma boasts a shady plaza near the Gothic Cathedral. Visit the Roman ruins and the Drach Caves nearby, or journey to the enchanting village of Valledemosa. Leave time to shop for lovely majolica faux pearls and hand-made lace.

Palermo, Sicily, Italy
City Palermo

Once regarded as Europe's grandest, most beautiful city, Palermo is still quite impressive. The Four Corners of Palermo, where each 17th-century Spanish Baroque facade is adorned with a statue, is one of the city's most memorable sights. The Fontana Pretoria, often called the Fountain of Shame because of its nude Florentine figures, is also worth noting. Tour the famous Norman Cathedral and Capuchin catacombs. A day trip to Monreale to see the famous 12th-century cathedral is also recommended.

Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy
City Civitavecchia

The port of Civitavecchia is the gateway to The Eternal City, where all roads lead. Mad traffic careens past monuments of the great civilizations of the past. You will want to see it all: the soaring inspiration of St. Peter's, the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel; the flow of life along the Spanish Steps, the Coliseum, the Via Veneto and Trevi Fountain. Be sure to leave time for la dolce vita in one of the piazzas.

Savona (Genoa), Italy
City Savona

Marseille, France
City Marseille

Marseille is France's second largest city, but it often goes unnoticed and unvisited by travelers... They are missing out on one of France's most diverse cities, both in terms of people and activities... Today, Marseille faces the same problems as any growing city. Crime is an issue, as is racial tension between the native French population and the arriving North African immigrants. Twenty-five percent of the population in Marseille is of North African descent, and that number is growing. But the city has come to embrace its newfound diversity, and is eager to put its best foot forward to attract a piece of the ever-growing tourism industry.

Barcelona, Spain
City Barcelona

Barcelona is the cultural heartland of Spain, yet its first language is Catalan, the native tongue of the proudly independent Catalonia region. Stroll down the shady, tree-lined Ramblas between street musicians and elegant bistros. Then perhaps visit the venerable Gothic cathedral, Picasso Museum or enjoy the architectural genius of Antonio Gaudi's Church of the Holy Family.
