Ship
Silver Dawn
Overview

The new Dawn is coming! Be the first to sail aboard Silver Dawn, the tenth ultra-luxury ship to join our fleet. From September 2021.

A new world of luxury is waiting aboard Silver Dawn. Both classic yet modern, Silver Dawn is the natural evolution of our fleet. Large enough to offer eight dining options - including the superb Sea and Land Taste (S.A.L.T.) programme - yet small enough for the famed Silversea on board ambience, Silver Dawn inherits the best features of her sister ships Silver Muse and Silver Moon, but is in a class all of her own. Sumptuous suites, outstanding itineraries plus cutting-edge design and technology, Silver Dawn sets new standards of luxury. Let's wake up to a new dawn with Silversea.

Dining

LA DAME

Silversea's signature French restaurant, La Dame is the epitome of fine dining. Featuring the rich, smooth flavors of France, La Dame's reputation for gastronomic excellence is fully upheld aboard Silver Dawn. Expect only the very best; chic contemporary style, vast ocean-view windows, crisp white table linens and impeccable white-gloved silver service with a smile. Decorated with custom-made interior panel compositions created by Lalique, there is no better place to feel the culinary soul of France than in La Dame.

THE GRILL

One of the healthiest cuisines to exist, The Grill features lava stone cooking at its finest. Sourced from volcanic rock and placed in an oven to reach an optimum temperature of 400C, The Grill invites guests to cook their food directly at their table. Place your meat, fish or vegetables on top of the grill stone or inside the soup bowl, and then simply cook to your very own taste. Every bite is cooked to perfection, time after time. With the stone cooking available in the evenings only, The Grill becomes a daytime rotisserie and gourmet salad and burger bar, offering build your own burgers from the best selections of meat.

KAISEKI

The fine art of Kaiseki lies in its meticulous preparation and beautiful presentation. Dishes reflect a passion for tradition and performance and our reinterpretation of these values is clear. Balanced menus have been inspired by the five elements of Japanese nutritional cuisine and respect the equilibrium of yin and yang. Daytime menus feature a varied and balanced menu of sushi, sashimi and other raw Asian-inspired dishes, while the evenings are alive with the taste and traditions of fine Japanese dining.

Per guest reservation fee of US$60. Please visit My Silversea to make your reservations.

LA TERRAZZA

An iconic hallmark of Silversea dining, La Terrazza offers authentic recipes and the freshest ingredients from our distinctive Italian heritage. This is where antipasti, primi and secondi come together with passion and flair in a flavourful expression from corporate chef Alberto Colombo's imagination. La Terrazza aboard Silver Dawn offers innovative interactive food stations: an olive oil cellar, a mozzarella bar, a seafood station and of course a salumeria. The a la carte menu has also been extended to include the popular Sapori di Casa, traditional family-style Italian daily specials.

ATLANTIDE

Instantly recalling images of the sea in all her watery majesty, the Atlantides are the seven nymph daughters of Atlas. Creative muses, known for their wisdom and beauty, the sisters were granted immortality in the form of stars and can be seen today in the constellation of Taurus. Pivotal to Silver Moon dining experience, this elegant bar and grill incorporates the best that the sea has to offer. Created to temper your taste buds, designer dishes such as royal crab, blue lobster and Verbena infused red snapper in a sea salt crust are showcased alongside the best steaks offshore.

Ports of Call
Tokyo, Japan
City Tokyo

Huge department stores brim with shoppers, neon flashes from dusk to dawn, and the entire world pays heed to the slightest fluctuation on the Nikkei Index. From the Imperial Palace and Meiji Shrine to the fabled Ginza district, 20th-century Tokyo is an intriguing composite of East and West. Yuppies sporting Walkmen bow formally in greeting. Women in kimonos and Dior suits stroll side-by-side. Geishas play samisens while disc jockeys play the Top Forty. Japanese houses of wood and paper stand in the shadow of towering steel and mortar. Not far away, one of the world's most impressive sights soars 12,388 feet to its snow-clad peak: Mount Fuji, the majestic symbol of Japan.

Osaka (Kyoto and Nara), Japan
City Osaka

This large, bustling port is the starting point for tours to the ancient cities of Kyoto and Nara, the cultural fountainheads of classical Japan. Kyoto's Old Imperial Palace and the shogunal Nijo Castle remain glorious symbols of the power the city held for over 1,000 years. Until 1868, Kyoto was the capital of Japan, filled with elegant timber buildings and, perhaps more than any other Japanese city, imbued with Kami, the divine spirit. You'll sense it everywhere, for there are hundreds of Shinto shrines and over a thousand Buddhist temples, as well as sacred treasure-houses of religious sculpture, painting and exquisite gardens. Nara, City of the Seven Great Temples, lies in an idyllic setting.

Hiroshima, Japan
City Hiroshima

Set on a bay in the Inland Sea, Hiroshima was the infamous site of the first atomic bomb explosion of August, 1945. But perhaps the best reason to visit Hiroshima is the enchanting island of Miyajima with its famous Itsukushima Shinto shrine, considered one of Japan's three most beautiful sights. Its famous torii stands just offshore, a tall, vermilion-colored symbol of Japan, which appears to float during high tide.

Beppu, Japan
City Beppu

Kagoshima, Kyushu, Japan
City Kagoshima

This large city is an excursion base from which to explore the dramatic coastlines, national parks and volcanic mountains of Kyushu, Japan's third largest island. Mount Sakurajima, an active volcano, can be reached by ferry. To the north, Kirishima-Yaku National Park is a scenic area of smoking volcanoes, craters and lakes. South of the city, Ibusuki, the island's most popular seaside resort, welcomes kimono-clad bathers to its sandy beaches and warm, underwater springs.

Okinawa (Naha), Japan
City Naha

Xiamen, China
